Here’s where you can insight and commentary on what's happening in our community and have a platform to share your thoughts on this work with thousand of others.

Member news & updates

Watch this area for information about current events and topics affecting Delta communities. In the coming months, DCA will host a huge event to introduce the organization to the region. This will provide the perfect occasion to connect with others who are doing great work in the Delta. Please check back often for updated news about the conference.

Get involved!

We truly believe that there is strength in numbers. If you want to be part of an organization that empowers Delta people, assists area businesses, supports nonprofit organizations and strengthens Delta communities, join DCA today. Call us at 662.344.9940 or email us at info@deltacitizens.org to get a membership application and to pay your annual dues. And since you’re a mover and a shaker, you probably know of other potential members. Just drop us a line letting us know how to contact them or direct them to www.deltacitizens.org.

Change from the bottom up

Our tagline, “Many communities. One voice.”, was developed by a process that involved listening and shifting our thinking about how to best approach change in the Delta region in Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. Fifteen Mid-South Delta Initiative grantee partners united to develop a citizen-centered organization to serve the needs of folks who call the Delta home. These organizations, and new DCA members, now work together to improve economic and social conditions in the region. DCA will revolutionize the Delta through initiatives that focus on training, economic development, asset accumulation, resource development and diversity. Through DCA, citizens from all backgrounds can unite as decision makers and agents for change. This change doesn’t just involve the community - it is guided by the community.

What's to come

DCA is brimming with potential. We’ve established an office in Greenville, MS. We chose the port city because it’s in the center of the Delta, thus giving us ample reach to other communities in the region. Now that we have a place to call home, we’re starting a community outreach campaign to spread the word about DCA and to attract new members.
